William Masson

William Masson was a provincial politician from Alberta, Canada. He served as a member of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta from 1935 to 1955 sitting with the Social Credit caucus in government.
==Political career==
Masson ran for a seat to the Alberta Legislature as a Social Credit candidate in the electoral district of Wainwright for the 1935 Alberta general election. Masson ran for a second term in office in the 1940 Alberta general election. Due to the 1939 boundary redistribution, incumbent Albert Blue who left the Social Credit caucus to join the Independent Progressive Association found his district of Ribstone abolished. He ran against Masson along with two other candidates. Masson ran for a third term in office in the 1944 Alberta general election. His fortunes improved as he was returned with on the first ballot with a very large majority defeating two other candidates.〔(【引用サイトリンク】 title= Wainwright Official Results 1944 Alberta general election )

Masson retired from provincial politics at dissolution of the assembly in 1955.
